• 12 cm of compacted coco fibre, clean soil mix, or a shape-holding soil/clay blend

• Keep the setup simple enough to service without repeatedly exposing the spider

💡 Lighting

• No UVB or specialist lighting required; a normal room day-night rhythm is enough
• Photoperiod: 10-12 h of ambient light; no night light
• Keep plant or display lighting weak, indirect, and outside the enclosure where possible
• Avoid bright hot lamps that dry the rocky-upland-style retreat

🌡️ Temperature

• Basking spot: 23-26 °C
• Warm zone: 21-26 °C
• Cool zone: 19-22 °C
• Night: 18-22 °C

💧 Humidity & water

• Target 50-70% humidity, with a shallow dish of fresh water always available
• Keep the surface mostly dry and the hide base or one lower side lightly moist
• Keep juveniles in smaller ventilated containers with a clear dry-to-moist gradient
• During premolt, raise local retreat moisture toward 70-80%, not the whole enclosure
• Avoid constantly wet substrate, stagnant air, and prolonged bone-dry conditions

🪳 Feeding

• Feed according to the prey type and schedule in the structured care profile; remove uneaten prey promptly.

• Watch for appetite loss, abnormal posture, injury, breathing issues, failed shedding or molting, and sustained weight loss.
