🪨 Enclosure furniture

• 25 cm of firm, shape-holding substrate arranged with a slight slope
• Cork-backed starter burrow where the spider can build its covered or hinged doorway
• Leaf litter or small moss fragments near the entrance as web and door material
• Very small shallow water dish and a clear feeding route to the burrow mouth
• Secure lid and vents; remove heavy decor and any tunnel-collapse risk

💡 Lighting

• No UVB or specialist lighting required; a regular room day-night rhythm is sufficient
• Photoperiod: 10-12 h of gentle ambient light; no night light
• Keep plant or display lighting indirect so the entrance does not overheat or dry
• Avoid bright lamps that encourage the small hidden spider to remain sealed in its retreat

🌡️ Temperature

• Basking spot: 24-27 °C
• Warm zone: 22-27 °C
• Cool zone: 20-23 °C
• Night: 20-23 °C

💧 Humidity & water

• Target 55-70% humidity, with a small dish of clean water always available
• Keep the surface dry to moderate and one lower corner or the burrow base lightly moist
• Keep spiderlings in small ventilated containers where local moisture can be monitored closely
• During premolt, raise only the lower retreat moisture toward 70-80%
• Avoid a wet closed container, mold around the trapdoor, and prolonged bone-dry substrate

🪳 Feeding

• Feed according to the prey type and schedule in the structured care profile; remove uneaten prey promptly.

• Watch for appetite loss, abnormal posture, injury, breathing issues, failed shedding or molting, and sustained weight loss.
