🏠 Enclosure
- Use the enclosure dimensions, heating, humidity, and safety values from the structured care profile and full care guide.
🪨 Enclosure furniture
- 25 cm of firmly packed, shape-holding substrate for a deep angled burrow
- Stable bark slab or starter hide that cannot be undermined and collapse
- Shallow water dish with open maintenance space beside the main tunnel
- Place any heavy decor on the enclosure floor before adding substrate
- Do not add an aquatic section or standing water; prepare a catch cup before service
💡 Lighting
- No UVB or specialist lighting required; a consistent room day-night cycle is sufficient
- Photoperiod: 10-12 h of subdued ambient light; no night light
- Keep display or plant lighting indirect and away from the burrow entrance
- Avoid direct hot lamps that rapidly dry the deep humid setup
🌡️ Temperature
- Basking spot: 24-27 °C
- Warm zone: 22-27 °C
- Cool zone: 20-23 °C
- Night: 20-23 °C
💧 Humidity & water
- Target 75-85% humidity, with a shallow dish of clean water always available
- Keep the lower substrate moderately moist while allowing the surface to dry between water additions
- Keep spiderlings in smaller ventilated containers with an evenly moist lower layer and a drier surface
- During premolt, raise local burrow moisture toward 85-95%, not the entire enclosure
- Reduce watering or increase ventilation if condensation persists or the substrate smells and clumps
🪳 Feeding
- Feed according to the prey type and schedule in the structured care profile; remove uneaten prey promptly.
🩺 Health — warning signs
- Watch for appetite loss, abnormal posture, injury, breathing issues, failed shedding or molting, and sustained weight loss.
